Croatia: Dirt Bikes & Sailboats

Ride and sail with us in Croatia!

This September, we’re off to explore Croatia’s mountain scenery aboard Honda CRF motorcycles – and enjoy the Adriatic Sea aboard a private sailboat. That’s right, this all-female adventure tour is both about dirt biking and sailing, so pack your riding gear…and your swimmers!

Croatia is so much more than its Adriatic Sea coast, though – we’ll venture inland to see stunning waterfalls, turquoise blue swimming holes, and rugged mountain passes, dining with local farmers along the way.

Croatia Dirt Bikes & Sailboats tour is perfect for beginner/medium-level riders looking to tackle gravel trails, enjoy the wilderness, and get to know Croatia up close and personal in the company of other women. We’ll be riding places few tourists get to see enjoying Croatia’s pristine nature, visiting abandoned ghost villages, and traversing ancient Roman roads. At the end of the tour, we’ll embark on a full-day private sailboat tour of the Croatian Islands – a perfect way to unwind and relax after a two-wheeled adventure!

Day 1 | Sept 22 Arrival to Split, Croatia + airport transfer

Welcome to sunny Split! This stunning medieval seaside town on the Adriatic Coast is our home base for the tour, and we recommend booking earlier flights so you can explore Split a little before we jump on the bikes. Today, we’ll have a meet-and-greet dinner, get to know each other, and get ready for the next day’s ride.

Day 2 | Sept 23 Split – Knin: The Adventure Begins

Leaving Split behind, we’ll pack our Honda CRF motorcycles and head off toward Mount Mosor tackling mountain twisties and light off-road trails. We’ll pass the stunning Peruca lake and the mouth of River Cetina boasting a turquoise blue swimming hole, have a lunch break, and follow the Road of Napoleon to see the spectacular River Krka waterfalls.

Our destination of the day is Knin, a famous local ski resort known for its breathtaking mountain views and amazing off-road trails.

Day 3 | Sept 24 Knin – Mount Velebit: Ghost Town Country

After a good night’s sleep, we’ll follow a section of the Trans Euro Trail heading North and visiting abandoned ghost villages on our way to Mount Velebit. This is where you’ll see the side of Croatia few travelers get to explore – we’ll ride the historical Maester’s Road offering awe-inspiring views of the Adriatic islands below.

Day 4 | Sept 25 Mount Velebit – Dabarska: Ancient Roman Roads

Today, we’ll be riding mountain passes and valleys enjoying Croatia’s pristine nature and views straight out of this world. We’ll follow ancient Roman roads, ride dirt, take in the scenery, and slowly turn back South toward the Adriatic Sea.

Day 5 | Sept 26 Dabarska – Split: Summit to Sea

This is our last day of riding – but the adventure is far from over. We’ll tackle some gravel roads, enjoy the spectacular views of the Croatian coastline from above, and have a traditional, slow-cooked lunch at a private family farmstead. Next up, we’ll follow the Cikola River canyon trails and end the day with a sunset dinner in Split.

Day 6 | Sept 27 Island Hopping

Time to relax and recharge! It’s impossible to fully experience the Adriatic Coast without going on a sailing trip, so today, we’ll leave the bikes in Split and go on a private sailboat tour of the Croatian Islands soaking up the sun and enjoying the water. Pack some sunscreen, your shades, and your swimmers!
