itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival to Malaga

Welcome to Malaga, a charming coastal city of Andalusia where our adventure begins! We’ll pick you up from the airport, have a meet-and-greet dinner in a traditional Spanish restaurant, and go on a sunset cruise in the Mediterranean Sea in the evening. We’ll stay in a boutique hotel right at the heart of Malaga’s Old Town and have a tour briefing before sampling some tinto de verano at the Picasso Bar.

Day 2 | Malaga-Ronda (110km)

Today, we’ll gear up, pack our bikes, and hit the road. This day is designed to be a gentle introduction to the Spanish backroads heading toward Ronda, one of our favorite towns in Andalusia famous for being built atop a massive gorge. We will ride little-known backroads enjoying. stunning mountain views and stopping for a tapas lunch, then end the day sampling local cheeses and wine in Ronda and staying in a cute Old Town hotel.

Ronda is a total gem – the gorge and the architecture are jaw-dropping, and this is the town Ernest Hemingway fell hopelessly in love with and wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls while he was here covering the Spanish Civil War.

Day 3 | Ronda – Antequera (120km)

Today is all about those glorious mountain twisties, the turquoise blue lakes of El Chorro, and a visit to Torcal de Antequera  a place of ancient rock formations so strange you feel like you’re walking on the surface of the Moon.

Day 4 | Antequera – Granada (165 km)

This day is jam – packed with beautiful, winding tarmac roads, dreamy whitewashed villages, and Andalusian backcountry charms. Our destination for the day is Granada, the old Moorish capital of Andalusia famous for its Alhambra Palace, flamenco traditions, narrow cobblestone alleys, and the Moroccan Quarter – a colorful street of North African shops, eateries, and shisha lounges. Granada is where the Moorish history and influence merge with Andalusian heritage in a vibrant melting pot of culture, cuisine, and atmosphere.

Day 5 | Rest Day in Granada

Today, we’ll leave the bikes parked and explore Granada on foot: we’ll wander the Old Town, go on a private walking tour of the Alhambra Palace – s stunning Moorish fortress overlooking the city – and hit the bohemian quarter of Sacromonte for a live flamenco show!

Day 6 | Granada – Nerja (120km)

Leaving Granada behind, we will cross the breathtaking Sierra Nevada National Park, ride incredible mountain backroads, and catch glimpses of the Mediterranean Sea from above. Today’s destination is Nerja, one of our favorite seaside towns boasting an ancient Moorish sea fortress, a charming cobblestone street Old Town, fresh seafood, and The Balcony of Europe – a spot where, on a clear day, you might see the contours of Africa across the Mediterranean.

Day 7 | Nerja – Malaga (120km)

Enjoying a beautiful stretch along the coast, we will head back inland for some more of those epic twisties, stop for lunch to try gambas pil-pil, and ride the final section back to Malaga across a backcountry of rolling hills.

Back at our hotel, we’ll return the bikes, have a little rest, and head out to explore Malaga’s nightlife – or, as an additional option, we may choose to relax and unwind in Malaga’s famous Arabian Baths enjoying a hamam experience and a massage before dinner!

Day 8 | Airport Transfer/Departure
